Google Health, And the Privacy Question. Let's Ask Todd!

Have any of you seen the following commercial on TV or online?

My name is Todd Davis
My social security number is 457-55-5462
I'm Todd Davis, CEO of LifeLock, and yes, that’s my real social security number*. Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in America, victimizing over 10 million people a year and costing billions of dollars. So why publish my social security number? Because I’m absolutely confident LifeLock is protecting my good name and personal information, just like it will yours. And we guarantee our service up to $1 million dollars."

From Smythe: You know, I am really happy that Todd has developed a technology that is so effective that he can afford to guarantee it for the princely sum of a million bucks!

However, if that kind of technology exists, which it obviously does, why aren't those who are given our information paying for it, to protect our information.

This goes along with Google Health. I understand the privacy concerns when it comes to health care information, but I would think if Todd was able to develop the type of product that can protect our ID's --then Google and other types of organizations that have our information in their hands should provide the same type of service--FREE!

Good Question!

Maybe the good folks here in the states might want to rethink the idea that capitalisim is the be all end all solution to the worlds problems.

Hmmmmmm

What a concept.

Absolutely! Perhaps Todd would know the answer!

Further- when consumers -for health care or any other product place their information on the Internet they should not have to worry about Identity theft. Or that their employers, neighbors, or enemies could become privvy to their info. I find it hard to believe that these brilliant geniuses who have developed these trillion dollar businesses cannot come up with up with security systems that protect the consumer.
